Prescription Disposal

Medicines play an important role in treating many conditions and diseases, but when they are no longer needed it’s important to dispose of them properly to avoid harm to others.

Some powerful medicines such as Fentanyl and Fentanyl patches can be deadly to children and pets if not controlled and properly disposed.

We know that 75% of heroin users first abused prescription drugs. By disposing of unneeded medicines we reduce prescription drug abuse, and we reduce heroin addiction.

In the Cincinnati Area the State Attorney General has sponsored a Drop Box Drug Disposal Program.  Drop boxes are located at various police stations throughout the area.  Most are available 24/7 or during regular business hours.
